About Encompass Ministries

Our Story

Founded in 1998 as Papa’s Pantry by Lynne Saunders, Encompass Ministries began with a simple mission: to fight hunger and offer hope to families in crisis. What started as a food outreach quickly grew into a holistic ministry addressing the deeper needs of stability—offering job coaching, financial literacy, and life skills training.

In 2005, we moved to our current Woodstock location, launched The Master’s Training Center, and expanded our reach through offsite programs in shelters, recovery centers, and transitional housing. To reflect our growing impact, we became Encompass Ministries in 2019.

Today, we serve thousands each year through Christ-centered support that nourishes both body and soul—empowering individuals and families to move from crisis to lasting stability.
